Welcome to our dads tribute page where we aim to raise funds for the fantastic children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
CLIC Sargent is the UK's leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families. From diagnosis onwards, their aim is to help the whole family deal with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.
As some of you may know, I was diagnosed with cancer at the age of four and with the love and support of my family, the incredible surgeons, specialists and nursing staff at both the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and Freedom Fields hospital in Plymouth, I am here to tell the tale today cancer free.
CLIC Sargent (or simply CLIC as they were known back then) provided valuable support and guidance for my family, including financial help towards my treatment. CLIC Sargent now also offer families accommodation for families when treatment is away away from home.
Following my successful treatment dad became treasurer for CLIC and continued to do so for many years.
Needless to say the charity has a very special place in our hearts. Please give what you can to honour the memory of dad and help young people with cancer across the country go on to have long and fulfilling lives.
